FRIDAY FAVORITES HELLO SPRING

Did Spring get ushered in in Indiana yesterday or was it Winter for another season? Yes, kids on the first day of Spring, we had SNOW! All you can do at this point is just laugh and cherish when the days are beautiful and get cozy when they’re not, lol!

Easter Porch

I really have not been into decorating my porch as much, but since Easter is quite a bit later this year, I had to do a little something after St. Patrick’s Day before I get my flowers planted on the porch. Look at these giant bunnies I got from Michaels. You can also get them at Hobby Lobby. This made for the cutest little front door display. I got out two of my flowerpots. I put some plastic wrap on top of the dirt and then little faux grass mats! Then I shoved dowel rods up the bunnies butts, LOL and down into the dirt they went! The BOWS on the lanterns were a great find from Amazon! Love how all this turned out. More links below pic 2!

Girls

Pop Nine and I got to play with the girls. They were cracking us up, especially when one of them wanted two “hats” (what she calls bows) on her head. So cute! Aren't their watercolor jammies so pretty!

My heart!

They weren't feeling good this week darn it.

French Press

My barista’s name is Mr. Nine, lol! Well, he does not cook or clean, lol this man is so good at making the coffee! He decided instead of our regular drip coffee, he wanted to try a French press and of course, being a man, it needed to be the New Yeti French Press! These things are so cool. We got the smaller one (34oz), but you can’t get them in a 64oz and so many colors. It totally gives the coffee a different taste and we have enjoyed it the past couple weekends. We also got an electric tea kettle with button saying French Press to get the water to the perfect temp.

dibs Beauty Products
Here is a new to me beauty brand that I have fallen in love with. dibs Beauty! The blush and contour sticks called GlowTour Duo make life so much easier I absolutely love it. The Dual Face Brush is one of the best I’ve seen for blending and foundation and the Bronzer Status Stick is such a beautiful golden shade I especially like it on my clavicle.

Outfits
Buttercream Yellow
From what I’m seeing and hearing, buttercup yellow is the color of the season! Look at this cute little top I got; I love the back, and it is an exact and I mean exact free people do at $30 less! I’m going to get two more colors.

Coffee

Wednesday morning had me scared and then had me happy within 20 minutes, lol. I celebrated at a fav coffee shop and the sweet barista there made me the most precious Cinnamon Churro Latte! How CUTE!

Blast from Last
This is a fun one because one of my besties on the far left and I are having dinner tonight and this was taken last summer when her mother-in-law was visiting from Florida. Her MIL just happens to be one of my mom’s besties and her son is one of Mr. Nine‘s besties! Lol! We enjoyed a wonderful brunch at the Tipsy Biscuit

Grand Ole Opry turns 100

If you’re a fan of Country Music, I hope you caught the 100-year celebration of the Opry on NBC. So good. Garth and Trisha singing George Jones and Tammy Wynette’s “Golden Ring” was my favorite! My mom and I were so excited about his and watched together.

Here's to no snow and a
sweet "SPRING" weekend!

Especially the cute bunnies in the planters. I love the cute photos of the babies on the couches. I especially love that your husband is your barista and that french press looks great and I bet makes a great cup of coffee. My husband has made coffee in the past with our french press. I hope you have a nice weekend.

  12. A great list of favorites! Your porch decor turned out so cute and is perfect for Easter. The girls are just too adorable in their matching outfits. I'm sure you love every second you spend with them. That top looks good on you. I have no sense or knowledge of what the new "in" colors or styles are so I need fashionable blogger friends like you to educate me :). Have a great weekend!

  13. That last photo sums up what our roads look like here too; only they don't bother with the cones at all. It really keeps me on my toes while driving and make nighttime driving a little extra fun. Your granddaughters are adorable and I hope they are feeling better soon.

You'll have to tell Mr. Nine to try the Pour Over Coffee.. My husband is a coffee snob and has tried them all. The pour over really makes it smooth and mild which is crazy to think it can be differnt.

  17. The girls are getting so big! Too bad they weren't feeling well, ugh- I feel like there is so much going around lately for us to all catch!

I'm so with you on the buttercream yellow trend- I've picked up a lightweight sweater and a sweatshirt in this color and I'm obsessed!

  19. I am not a fan of spring snow. We had that when we lived in North Jersey and it's too much for me. We had 70 degree weather here yesterday which was so nice. I love the yellow tops, going to check out those links. Your grandgirls are darling and I love the watercolor jammies. There are so many cute jams for kids now it's hard not to buy them up. I just ordered pjs for all the grands to give them as a little Easter gift. Have a great day!
