Hello my
beauties and Welcome to another edition of TBB ASKS. This fun link-up gets more
popular every month and this month is a girly girl’s dream: All Things Beauty. A couple years ago I told you all about my Hair and Make-Up Revelations HERE and I must admit, I am a stickler to my make-up routine, I rarely try new shades and when I do, I end up going back to my tried and trues. The only bummer is when a manufacturer stops making a beloved product (yeah I'm talking to you Max Factor of 1992). But let's get to it!
1. Eyelash Curler Yes or
No? Always, sometimes
even when I don’t put on other makeup, I curl my eyelashes and put on a lil
mascara and I feel better instantly!
2. Favorite Nail Shade? It will
forever be OPI’s “I’m Not Really a Waitress Red."
BUY Nail Polish HERE
3. Favorite Lipstick
Shade? BRAVE from MAC, Before I found this shade, I did post on my 5 Favorite Lip Products. Brave is the perfect everyday shade.
4. Blow Dry or Air Dry
your hair? I air dry
when time permits and I never ever blow dry all the way.
5. Artificial Nails: Yes
or No? Yes, However, there is a twist; I do them myself. Read my post on How to Do Your Own Artificial Nails HERE
6. Foundation: Yes or
No? Yes, but I mix two kinds for the perfect shade, one high end and
one drug store. I love the Estee Lauder Double Wear light from
Sephora or Macy's in Intensities 3.0 or 4.0 and then I mix with an
equal amount of Cover Girl Smoothers Shade 750: Creamy Beige.

BUY This One HERE
7. Hair Up or Hair Down? I’d say 70% up and 30% down as of late. It’ll be up waaay more up in the Summer.
8. Bar Soap or Body
Wash? Both, but I
swear by Jergen’s Bars for washing up but then I follow it with a nice body
wash. Currently loving The Body Shop's Japanese Cherry Blossom Shower Gel.
9. Bath or Shower? Shower,
night before. I enjoy an occasional soak but don’t tend to take them. Our master bath doesn't have a tub and the new
shower has me so mesmerized, I never want to get out of it, lol.
10. Favorite Body
lotion? Jergen’s Original
or Bath and Body Magic is in The Air.
11. Do you wear perfume?
If so, favorite scent? Yep, 3 favorites
are Chanel No.5, Light Blue by Dolce and Gabana and Jo Malone (Mimosa & Cardamom).
Jo Malone HERE
12. Do you shave your
legs every day? In the
summer, yes..everyday, in the Winter, every other day.
13. Favorite Lip Balm? Tie:Daytime
it is EOS Lip Balm, Sweet Mint (Buy HERE) and at night it’s Carmex (Been using it for 30 years)
14. How old were you
when you first started wearing make-up? In 8th
grade, I was allowed a little eye make-up. As a freshman, I could go full face, foundation
and everything and it felt so good!

MAC"s "Brave" is one of my favorite, too. It's such a great shade and easy to wear everyday. Your master shower is gorgeous! I can see why you are mesmerized by it! Happy Monday, Andrea!

ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
I started wearing makeup right around the same time - 7th or 8th grade! I love that pretty lipstick shade too!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

ReplyDeleteOPI has the best shades and nothing beats a classic red nail! Loved reading what you use beautiful friend! That MAC lip shade is a gorgeous neutral!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday darling!
xo,
Kellyann
Love your halter dress and TBB asks is such a fun read! I am the opposite of percentage of hair up or down. Mine seems to turn itself into a bun a lot of times! Lol 😂 And wow, make up in 8th grade!! That's cool. I didn't get to wear make up until I was in my 20s and that was just mascara! 😱 I hope you had a great weekend. Happy Monday!

Andrea... I am so excited about this link up! Great questions. Can't wait to read what everybody uses. I have a feeling I'm going to be doing a lot of online shopping!!
ReplyDeleteI love that lipstick color and I need to pick it up the next time I'm at the mall! It looks like a really pretty every day color. And I love your shower! We have a big shower so like you, I love taking showers!! I told Dustin that in our next house we build, we have to make sure our shower is huge because I can never go back to a regular bath/shower combo haha!
ReplyDeleteSarah at MeetTheShaneyfelts
Your shower is amazing! I love the name of that nail color and that you mix two foundations to get the right one! What a fun post ;-) Have a super week <3
ReplyDeleteLove Chanel No. 5. Your shower is incredible, I wouldn't want to get out of it either.
ReplyDeleteI am totally an eye lash curler addict! Like you said--even when I'm not wearing makeup I like to have my lashes curled!! Also LOVE MAC Brave--it's definitely one of my favorite shades! Happy Monday!!
ReplyDeleteRosy Outlook
Yes! eyelash curler ALWAYS!! During the week I just use a little foundation and mascara but my lashes are always curled! It wouldn't be right if they weren't
ReplyDeleteI really love that nail color & that shower looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to answer these on Wednesday! I'm so fascinated with those that do their own artificial nails!
ReplyDeleteAmanda @ Cupcake N Dreams
Oh wow, I love that nail polish color! I wear my hair up a lot because it's thick and frizzy, so it gets hot!!

My master bathroom doesn't have a bathtub either.
ReplyDeleteThis is such fun and always such great questions. I so wish we had not put a tub in our MB, we put a spa tub and I've been in it once. I would use a regular tub so much more but it is here and that is that! I do love MAC lipstick if I'm not wearing the long lasting kind. Love all your cute pics! Happy week!
ReplyDeleteI am with you on the hair in the summer. That shower is gorgeous, of course you never want to leave!
ReplyDeleteI'm really not a waitress is my favorite winter color....I think I've been using it since like 2000!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh this is so fun! Love your questions and the answers! Looking beautiful as always!

Such a fun post! I didn't really start wearing makeup until about 9th grade either and I've never looked back haha. And your shower looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteI still say I want the job of naming OPI's polish :)
ReplyDeleteI still love a good bar soap myself but its hard to find!!!! It took me forever to find a bar of Ivory soap!!!
I've gotten that shade of red before at the nail salon and I love it! I just tried artificial nails myself. I enjoyed your tutorial for the next time I do them! Your shower is swoon worthy! Loved reading all of your answers. This is so fun. Thanks for the link up!
ReplyDeleteLove this!!! I had artificial nails for years but eventually stopped. I also do the same thing in terms of blow drying my hair. I have very thick hair and I really don't want to spend a million years drying it haha. That lipstick is so pretty too and I love your bathroom!! Thank you for sharing and I hope that you have a wonderful day! :-)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could wear those pretty MAC pinks - but they just too light on my skin tone. Your hair looks cute styled both ways!

I started wearing makeup in the 8th grade too. Pretty sure it looked terrible though haha!! Love that lipstick shade. So pretty!! Have a wonderful Monday!
ReplyDeleteI didn't participate this month since I'm not much of beauty product kind of gal but I do have a signature scent; my husband fell in love with Sunflowers back when we were in high school and I'm not "allowed" ;) to change it. I tried once or twice but his misses "my" scent too much.
ReplyDeleteYou are so gorgeous in that flowered dress! I like that you combine the high end and drug store foundation for the perfect shade! Thank you for inviting me to link up!
ReplyDeleteBwahaha! I snorted Diet Coke at that shout out to Max Factor 1992!! Shame on you, Max!!
ReplyDeleteGah you're so beautiful! I love that lip color and the name of the polish is fabulous! That dress is perfection on you too. Too much pretty - OVERLOAD! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteChanel No 5 is one of my favorites too...such a classic. I'm clicking over to read your previous make up posts. I'm sure I'll learn something new to try! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLight Blue is one of my all time favorites too. If my shower looked like yours I don't think I would want to get out either! I also agree with you on Mac, I have tried that shade, but I love heir lipsticks!

Brave looks like such a pretty shade! I definitely need to check it out! And yes to Chanel No5! It’s such an iconic scent!
ReplyDeleteYes to all the eyelash curling! I never miss a day!
ReplyDeleteI love that you mix a high end and drug store foundation every day, that's such a smart move! I don't go for much high end makeup but Brave does look like a great color!
ReplyDeleteLoved this, Andrea! Like you I use a high-end foundation which I mix with a low end one! And you shower LOOKS AMAZING! I would never want to get out either!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday, babe!

I love Mac's lipsticks, so I pinned that image of that everyday shade! I may try it out! I love that you mix two foundations together. Sounds like something I would do. :)

You know my love for Estee Double Wear, though I have never tried that version. Magic is in The Air is what I was wearing yesterday haha. I love that scent!!! Your shower looks amazing!!!! I would never want to get out either. What a fun link up this month! Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI'm a loyal Carmex user at night too! I just love it!
ReplyDeleteI love that nail color! You look so good with your hair down. I feel like my hair is so thin and can leave it down for a bit but throw it up by mid-morning, haha!
ReplyDeleteI love Chanel No. 5!! My Mom wore it for years and whenever I smell it, I just think of her.
ReplyDeleteI love your shower. So pretty. I used that same lip color on my wedding day. Now I only wear it on date nights. Love that color. The nail polish is super pretty!!!
ReplyDeleteI adore the floral dress you're wearing in the first photo! I'm with ya on sticking with tried and trues unless they sadly discontinue it. I never knew you did your own nails...what a money saver! The color of your favorite Mac lipstick is calling my name! xoxo Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis
ReplyDeleteWe are in the same boat on the eyelash curler- mascara is one thing I always put on! I love that color Brave- such a nice neutral. Also, I want to come visit your shower, HAHAHA- it's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteOPI’s I’m Not Really a Waitress is such a beautiful color!
ReplyDeleteI love your beauty addition, great tips. I thought I was the only one that combined products. Thank you for sharing your awesome blog each week on OMHG Wonderful Wednesday/Linky
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week!
How is it that there are still so many things I don't know about you. Loved reading this!
ReplyDeleteI knew you would have so many great beauty products, beautiful lady. Going to check some of these out!
ReplyDeleteI also always use Brave! Fantastic color!

P.S I've got a fabulous new look (and a bit of a 're-brand') on my blog – please come and check it out!
I have and use Mac Brave. Most of their neutrals wash me out since I am so light complected, but Brave has the perfect amount of pink in it. I own over 29 Mac lipsticks.... I guess you could call me 'obsessed' if you want to. LOL
ReplyDeleteAs always, these are so fun to read. I can honestly say I'm fully interested in each question. lol. I laughed about your discontinued makeup. It truly is hard to grow to love another favorite and I'm not in the habit to experiment with make up anyway. I also laughed about you and your new shower. I'm a shower gal as well. And can I say that I'm super impressed that you do your own nails??? When I come we are having a salon party. lol! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Andrea, I think I've got that lipstick from Mac, or very similar and love it. Jacqui

I am a shower the night before girl too! So fun to see all of the products you love.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun post! Your hair always looks great. I'm such a plain down most of the time girl but would love to learn some fun styles. Sierra~Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteI have shower-envy! Our master shower isn't working right now (we still have two others) and I CANNOT WAIT til Brent gets time to re-do it!
ReplyDeleteLove that lip colour, so pretty!
I'm also super impressed you do your own nails - is there anything you can't do?
The beauty posts are always fun! I don't suppose your mom (who is my age) would share her beauty tips? Your master bath shower is fab...I can see why you love it. Your hair always looks great...you always look great! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI'm really hoping my hair is long enough by summer to do a bit of a messy bun! Wearing it down all the time is such a drag. And I'm so impressed that you curl your lashes everyday. Do you have a secret for making them stay curled?
ReplyDeleteGah! I forgot about chanel!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh don't you just love the names of the O.P.I. nail colors!? :) Light Blue is such a great fragrance. And your shower is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteAndrea, This was so much fun to read! I really enjoyed this and want to thank you for sharing this at Share Your Style!
