FRIDAY FAVORITES SWEET APRIL

The glorious weather has finally arrived in Indiana! I should dub this greenhouse week as I went to not one, not two BUT 10 greenhouses! Planted 18 pots yesterday. More about this at the end of this post. I’m having one of my dearest friends over for tea this afternoon, so it’s going to be a great Friday. And tomorrow Mr. Nine and et to babysit the twins before more planting on Sunday!Let’s get to some Friday favorites.

Easter Bunnies

Cutest lil Easter Bunnies you ever did see! But Easter dinner with them almost didn’t happen. They had been sick a couple days before, but they were feeling better on Sunday and enjoyed an indoor Easter egg hunt, and lovely meal at mamas. Wish you could see the videos, they knew exactly what to do with those eggs! So cute.

Hunting those eggs like Pros!

Orange Fluff

Do you like my flower made of mandarin oranges and a marshmallow, lol! This is the spring dessert of your fluffy dreams! I’ve been making this for years but especially love to make it in the spring on Easter or on Mother’s Day. My mama requested it this year for Easter dinner at her house and I think her, and I are the ones that about devoured at all, lol! If you want the recipe, I’ve posted the recipe HERE.

Outfits

Don’t laugh, but today I’m sharing what I wore for Easter last week as well as two sets of pajamas that have been on rotation. I’ve worn my older clothes to the greenhouses so not much to share, lol. The PJ's were both gifts from 2 of my Blonde Squad Friends, Jill & Caroline. So sweet!

  Walk with The Girls

You talk about chill and relaxed! Tuesday was such a beautiful day and although nap time was a couple hours away, within 15 minutes these babes were out! Grammy sang to them as we were walking and maybe that’s what did it, lol! Cracked me up how they both had a leg hanging out the same way.

Pool Time

Yep, you read that right. Northern Indiana pool day in April. Rare but I’ll take it. Got to 80+ degrees yesterday! After greenhouse trips and planting, I jumped in! Can’t wait for many more!

Greenhouses

Definitely a favorite was a visit to all the greenhouses this week! And I’m very excited to tell you that on Monday will be one of your FAVORITE posts where I talk about picking posies, the varieties I choose, planting tips and photos of how beautiful my flowers were last year.

 Have a Sweet April Weekend!!!

  13. I cannot wait to start planting this year! And I can't wait to see all the flowers you picked out. Picking out flowers and deciding where they'll go is so fun and I never used to be a plant girl until the last few years. I love standing outside and watering the flowers!

Your orange salad looks yummy! I thought you might like to try this fruit salad recipe I have been making for years.
20 oz can pineapple chunks or tidbits
16 oz can sliced peaches (cut into chunks)
11 oz can mandarin oranges (or the 15 oz can, I like it with the extra mandarins.)
    1 pkg instant vanilla pudding
    1 1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
    3/4 cup sour cream
Mix the vanilla pudding mix, milk and orange juice concentrate. Add the sour cream and fold in the fruit. ABSOLUTELY MUST chill overnight. (I tried it otherwise and the flavors just don't work as well together.) This is my standby when I can't think of anything else to fix.

  16. The sunflower dresses are so sweet. It's hard not to buy all the things for the little girls especially : ) So many adorable clothes now for little ones. Our pool has been open for a couple of weeks but isn't heated so I haven't been in yet. The lake is always open and my grandsons jumped in last week. The water is still cooler than I like for my first dip. I need new pjs so will check out the links. They are super cute! Have a great day!
