I was going to call this a Valentine’s Day dessert tray but anytime you put together all the snacks, it’s totally charcuterie to me whether it’s candy, treats or cheese and meat, LOL! And with the abundance of pink I decided gosh, this could be for Valentine’s Day or this could be getting together with your gal pals for Galentine‘s day! So, hence the name! No matter what you call it, this was so much fun putting together! Let’s talk a minute about that term Galentine‘s!
When in the world and who in the world started this term? While I think it’s very sweet to celebrate the girlfriends and women family members in our life, why can’t we just show all the love on one day? You know the good old Cupid hearts Valentine’s Day for all! Why do we need another day? Some have said that it’s to get together with your gal pals to celebrate the love the day before Valentine’s Day on February 13th, but to be honest with you, I just celebrate love each and every day! However, the term and definition below is kind of enduring.
But I was super happy to put this together this tray of goodies to make you smile and inspire you! I’m either going to put one of these together for my family or I have a dentist appointment in February and since I always like to take them treats, this might be a fun board to make for them!
No matter who I make it for, I think everyone can agree that it’s quite pretty and sweet! Of course I made it a little healthy by adding the strawberries and if I had raspberries I would’ve added them as well, ha ha!
I’ll link a few of the items in case you can’t find them in the stores like the rock candy suckers but any pink, white or red candy, cookies and treats will do!
LOVE YOU ALL!!
This looks like a delicious dessert/ charcuterie board!

ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I know the term Galentines really took off with the episode of Parks and Recreation about it. I am not sure if that is where it orginated or not though. Enjoy your day!
