FRIDAY FAVORITES...POLKA DOT EDITION

I don’t want July to go! This past week has been picture perfect weather in our neck of the woods and I want it to hang around! Usually around now, my mind kind of starts to wonder to Fall but I’m really enjoying soaking up the summer! I got to experience one of my favorite things of summer this week which was the heirloom tomato bruschetta at a local Italian joint called Venturi. I had missed out on it last year, so it was worth the two-year wait!

The polka dot shoes in the title picture up there are a huge re-pin on Pinterest. So, I thought it be fun to find a few more pairs and I am in love! They are all so stinking cute and many of them are on sale for half off this time of year! With lots of summer yet to go, this is a good time to buy sandals!

OK, OK, I admit in my top paragraph, I did mention that I didn’t really have Fall on the brain yet but because of Blogger peer pressure, I did succumb to the Nordstrom sale by buying two different boots that I think are winners! I had to share them as I think you’ll see similar styles to both a lot this season. I’ve also linked up some other options and some less expensive options. I love the pointed toe of the tall suede ones and I’m so excited to pair the snakeskin ones with lots of blush pink!

4. POLKA DOT RUFFLE SHORTS

How cute are these polka dot shorts? Throw in a ruffle hem and pockets, and I’m totally sold! I just love the bowtie waist as well! Easy to dress up or down, I chose a simple black tee and some heels for one of our dinners on vacation! They look super cute with flats too.

I could not resist a beautiful summer day ice cream lunch! I timed my trip to the town where this fabulous ice cream shop is, one of the best in the country, right at the time they were opening, and I enjoyed every second of that lemon sugar cone!

I love wrapping gifts and precious gift bags and this one stopped me in my tracks at Target! I felt like it was my inner girl right there on the bag! FRIDAY FAVORITES...ICE CREAM EDITION

Happy Happy Friday loves! It’s been a great sun shiny week with lots of pool chillin’! Maybe an ice cream scoop or two. And Yes, yes, I did participate a bit in the #NSale but I won't bore you with that just yet. Except for this reply form the gotta be giddy Nordstrom Marketing Crew:

How about you? Hope it’s been a great Summer week and here’s to the weekend! I'm headed to a Farmer's stand today for the first sweet corn of the season so tonight it's BLT's and buttery Corn on the Cob for dinner!

Amy Ann from Straight A Style

Amy Ann Happens to be one of my favorite fashion bloggers in the entire world!! She is a tall (she is 5’10”) glass of pure sunshine!! I think I have pretty much adored everything she has ever worn and her color palettes inspire! Amy Ann and her husband have been blessed with little Ivy Jean who is always styling just as sweetly as her mama. Was so tickled the week to see her in such a lovely Pineapple Print Dress. Amy Ann always sports the CUTEST statement shoes so you will LOVE this post on How to Style Them! We share a major love for kimonos snd This Kimono she styled is one of my all-time favorites! Something else I adore about this Princess is her modesty and love of midi dresses. Just look how angelic she looks in This one! She also has a knack for Styling a piece in several ways!! I thought she was perfect of this summer ice cream edition of Friday Favorites because her colors often remind me of sweet ice cream shop hues!! Adore this Jesus loving mama and style sensation!

2. ICE CREAM of Course

Here’s where the whole ice cream theme came in play some more. I do not generally buy store ice cream unless it’s for pie or Cobbler and I’m spoiled because we have one if the top ten ice cream joints in the country. My second favorite ice cream spot is the Dairy Maid we go to on our vacation. I indulged right and it gave Mr. Nine and I an idea. History Channel are you listening? We should travel the country and commentate on all the ice cream shops. Here’s the damper on our reality show, I’m ready for the camera, Mr. Nine, not so much. Good thought honey, we’ll just stick to our occasional scoops of goodness, lol.

I cannot even tell you how much I love this Minty Tank. It is actually from the pajamas section of Target but I threw it on for last Sunday’s Funday festivities. It is sooooo soft!! And I love the bright lemon yellow in it and it’s only 12.99! Look at the scalloped hem!

Speaking of Sunday Funday
Scenes from Sunday Fun Day! We had come back from vacation on Saturday but not wanting to end our family fun time, we headed to a friend’s Lake Home get together. Had a blast. Lots of boating, water volleyball, grub, cocktails, badminton, relaxing and chatting. 

I made my Blueberry Crunch Parfait to take and it was a huge hit. Recipe calls for strawberries but this is how I made it for the Bursting with Blueberries contest.

5 weeks from tonight and It’s Friday Night Light’s Baby! Our boy will be a Senior, uninjured and starting with the Team. These are their colors, it was under $25 and I’ve heard, even cuter in person. I won’t shove anymore #NSale down your throat this week so I’ll leave it here for now. LOL

Tiki Toss 
Such a cool story about the Tiki Toss game! When we were on vacation as I told you on Monday, The kids played this game at the distillery. They both made ringers and the waitress said she hadn’t seen anybody do that yet. Well, when we got home a birthday package was waiting for Mr. Nine from his little sweet sister. Guess what was inside? TIKI TOSS!! And she didn’t even know we’d been playing it. Perfect addition to the pool area!
