I was going to have this Friday Favorites include Chicago for our quick overnight there, but I have so much to share about it, so I’m making it an entire post next week. Also, much more to come about the fabulous Birthday LOVE I received from Friends and family.
It was an unseasonably warm week here with 80° temps and I enjoyed every second of it. And Mr. Nine got his second vaccine on Wednesday thank goodness. I get my next week. He did say yesterday that he felt like a Mack truck hit him but he’s tough and he’s strong and he plugged away!
Truly, I probably should’ve titled this post all the love from my marvelous mom! My mom executed the most fabulous birthday lunch last week! She pulled out all the stops from the ombré pink cake, gorgeous decorations, my favorite eggplant Parmesan lunch with a delightful salad and of course the traditional yearly Key Lime pie! THE BEST KEY LIME EVER… Recipe HERE
All the gifts she gave me were straight from her heart and I may have cried many happy tears. There’s so much to mention and I shared a little bit on Instagram stories but my favorite gift of all is the Beautiful Necklace she gave me that was her own handwriting! She sent her handwriting to the Etsy Seller that said, “Love you beautiful girl, mama” And they created the most precious piece that I will keep forever!
Opening it before I cried, lolIn keeping with my precious mom theme, we got to enjoy a lovely day and soak in those temperatures in lower Michigan on Wednesday! We just had to take advantage of the great weather because it’s back to the 50s here in a couple days, typical Indiana weather.
We enjoyed a lovely alfresco lunch at a place in New Buffalo Michigan called Beer Church. It’s so much fun you guys and the Margherita pizza and blood orange mule was delicious!
We then stopped by a greenhouse but the greenhouses here are not quite ready with their flowers yet, so it was on up to St Joe, Michigan to Silver Beach. Had we known so many people were going to be laying out on the beach, we would’ve joined in, but by that time we were just ready to work off our lunch with a walk out to the beautiful pier! Lake Michigan is so tranquil!
You guys know how much I love off the shoulder and this dress was only $24.99!! One of those fabulous T.J. Maxx Finds by the brand Flying Tomato. I just love the way it drapes, and the colors are divine. I got so many compliments on the streets of Chicago and felt like Easter princess at brunch! I just LOVE IT! And girl, I am DYYYYING over that wine meme about the bars because it's SO dang true! Why are they so stingy with their pours at restaurants? Especially at nice restaurants... they're the worst! Lol.
