9 GREAT DOLLAR TREE FINDS #2

Dollar Holla Tree!!! I confess, I am a Dollar Tree Snob. Not only do I only go to the "Dollar Tree" chain, but I only go to my favorite one in our area!! It is a mother load and no other has compared since.

Not gonna do the Family Dollar, Dollar Bin, Dollar General, nope, only Dollar Tree. I just feel the quality and selection is better and no math, it's all really a $1, except some cards and candy are 2 for 1.
I brought you my 9 Great Dollar Tree Finds back around a Holiday season once so I felt it was time for a Summer Version and my latest trip did not disappoint. Here are 9 more GREAT Dollar Tree finds!!

1. Bags and Bows
Oh how well the Dollar Tree does bags and bows. Now, the wrapping paper is thin and cheap but the bags....hefty and CUTE!! Why pay $4.99 for a stinkin' gift bag when you can get one for $1?
And look...animal print bows!

2. Shred
How I love adding colored shred to packages. It's just so fun and no reason reason to pay 3x's as much when a fun bag for a dollar will do.
They have lots of colors too.

You can even get cute little boxes. Throw in some shred and it's a cute little base for a gift.

3. Mailing Supplies
You all know I LOVE to send packages in the mail and packaging supplies can get expensive so how cool is it, that the Dollar Tree offers mailing supplies. I literally paid $5 recently for bubble wrap and forgot I could get it at DT.
This stuff is even the 3M brand so it's nice and sturdy.

4. Plackers
I am a fanatic about flossing and use good dental floss from Oral B but I always carry theses flossers in all my bags and purses for a quick floss when out and about. I love the mint flavor of these.

5. Deodorant...my fave kind!
My BFF got me Powder scented Lady Speed Stick a few years back and I have been hooked ever since!! It goes on invisible and lasts all day with just a slight swipe as I don't like using too much.

6. Birthday Treats
I just love getting people extra special little birthday treats besides my homemade ones. So, it was super fun to find these Birthday Cake cookies

and Hershey's miniatures in birthday packaging.

7. Paper Dinnerware
I just love the paper plates and napkins in the black and white print. The little silver picks for hors d'oeuvres are so cute too!

8. Magic Erasers
Move over Mr. Clean!! Scrub buddies are giving you a run for your money on Magic erasers!! These are a fraction of the ones I always got in the store, you know with the bald man on the box and they work JUST AS GOOD!!

9. Seasonal Decor
You cannot beat the seasonal selections for fun and simple décor. Great for the office and classrooms too. I pile this stuff in a bag to take to our beach condo over the 4th.

And LOOK at the cute centerpiece you can make just from the Dollar Tree goodness.

Now, just as important; What NOT to Buy at the Dollar Tree:
Make-Up, Toys, Plastic Kitchen Utensils, Band-Aids, Crayons, Tape (Unless they have the Scotch brand)

Any good Dollar Tree Hauls yourself lately??

xoxo

  1. We don't have a dollar store nearby, but I go to TJ Maxx or Marshalls for bows / cards / party bags - they are all $1.99 (which is pretty close LOL) and I stock up! The seasonal decor you get is great!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  2. I always forget about Dollar Tree! We had one in the town where I grew up, but I don't think I have ever seen one here in Virginia. That's such a great idea to stock up on gift bags, I love the one with the animal print high heel! Happy Monday, Andrea!

  5. The gift bags are the best!! I hate spending an extra $10 on a gift just to wrap it and put a card with it! My grandma is a dollar tree lover too. She really does find some good stuff.

  6. I am a huge fan of the Dollar Tree too. It's the only Dollar store I go in. I LOVE those little birthday cookies. I need to check mine for them. Looks like you found some great stuff!

  7. I buy all my wrapping stuff at Dollar Tree! Our local one is terrible though so I try to wait it out to go to one of the larger ones in the neighboring cities. My daughter loves Five & Below and I am getting to where I do too! xoxoxox

  8. Do you know my mom got some pasta sauce at the dollar store--and it had great ingredients? No sugar, no corn syrup...I was so impressed!!

  9. What an awesome post idea Andrea!! We go to the Dollar Tree all the time! It's great for everything you named and also their summer stuff is pretty awesome for the kids!! If we're ever doing crafts, we go there for some supplies, or if we make a handprint plate, or decorate a coffee mug, we go there because umm,, $1!!! LOL! I haven't seen those birthday cookies though, I think Brayden would love them and his birthday is right around the corner!

  11. So funny that you are a Dollar Tree snob. LOL! I need to go in there more. My mom goes all the time. I just hate making multiple trips places, so I usually just go to Wal-Mart.

  12. What would we do without Dollar Tree?!

  13. I like to call it the $25 Dollar Tree...LOL It's like Target. You go in for bread and come out with patio furniture and new blender. Love me some Dollar Tree. AND mylar balloons are the bargain of the century there. We've got another store out here called Everything 99 cents or something like that that I really love, but the closest one is 45 minutes away so I rarely go there. Hope you had a wonderful weekend and have a super week! XOXO

  14. Ok I need those animal print bows - how fun! And love all the festive decor. I'm the same way with sticking to a certain chain, and then even by location <3

  16. Huge fan of their bow and bags, never thought of mailing supplies.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I need to remember that about the mailing supplies. I'm always mailing out something from my Etsy store!

    ReplyDelete
  18. And this is why we're friends! Dollar Tree is seriously my fave store lol well besides Target, but that's a given ;) Also, I'll have to give those erasers a try! I didn't know they had them!

  19. I buy so much for my classroom from the dollar store. I love The Dollar Tree. I love getting bows and bags from there, and cards. I love this post!

  23. OMG, I LOVE dollar Tree! I get the gifts bags as you said and balloons! But my favorite are picture frames!!! You can find some very cute ones there! Clearly they are not the sturdy type, but they are just for looks, so it doesn't matter!
I am not too comfortable buying personal hygiene items or food... Just because I am not sure about where they come from... What do you guys think about those?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Girl, I LOVE DT!! We have them everywhere here and they really do have the best stuff for only $1! I love going there for notebooks and sticky notes and other office supplies. They are so much cheaper there!

  25. Andrea,
How cool that you have a Dollar Tree near you! It's definitely great for party props!

  27. I love Dollar Tree! I still haven't found one in my area that is a awesome...most of them are really picked over and not the cleanest. I always get mailing supplies as well as gift wrapping and bags there...SO cheap! Seasonal decor is the best and the quality, I feel, has only gotten better!

  28. I LOVE the Dollar Tree for stuff like this. I buy all my cards at dollar stores. Who wants to pay $5 for a greeting card that the person is just going to throw away?!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Love this post! I also stock up on cards, just like another commenter mentioned. This actually has saved me a substantial amount of money because I'm always sending them out! I also buy children's books there. The store near my parents' house has an awesome selection, and they have just the right amount of text for my daughter. I love the Dollar Tree, and I'm with you that all the other dollar stores aren't worth your time!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I am probably at the Dollar Store literally every day! Even if its just a card, I am there in line spending my $.50! lol - they have the best deals and you can never go wrong with the Plackers! I use them daily!

  31. Great post. I can never walk by a Dollar Store and not go in. The Mister always asks what I'm looking for and I always tell him I don't know until I walk in there. I get all of my readers there too.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I never think to go there for mailing supplies, what a great idea! I got so many cute Christmas items there last year and I always forget the rest of the year! Thanks for the reminder!

    ReplyDelete
  33. That center piece is so cute! I am certain that my Dollar Tree has never had that cute of bags or paper plates! Maybe I need to find some other locations to check out. Hope you have a great week!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yessss! Ours is pretty on point too and you just can't beat the beach stuff this time of year either! Love it! Also, thanks for your sweet comment on my pageant post - muah!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm a Dollar Tree snob, too! I love their wrapping paper for sure. Do you have a 5 Below by you? It's a little pricier but they sometimes have cuter partyware to compete with Dollar Tree.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Agree, Dollar Tree is the best out of all of them. Always well stocked and neat. I just need to remember to go there for certain items. Glad to know they have all the mailing supplies. They are so darn expensive everywhere else.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thanks for these great ideas about Dollar Tree. I do go to those "other" stores as well, but you have reminded me to try Dollar Tree again!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Whenever I'm hosting a party I always check out Dollar Tree for party supplies and decor like candles and glass vases before buying from a party store. That and gift bags, bows, and cards (cards can be iffy) can save so much money! Also balloons for any occasion which they'll inflate for you.... Never even thought to purchase mailing supplies from there so you taught me something along with those yummy birthday treats! I need to look out for those Hershey's minis. Great finds for savvy shopping!

    ReplyDelete
  39. "And it's all really a dollar" totally cracked me up!! I'm a snob, too, but I confess that I don't shop there nearly as much as I probably should. We got a new store close to us and it is so nice and clean and everything seems to be in its place which is a pet peeve of mine! Great post, Girlie!! Enjoy your evening!! Xoxo

  41. OMG! I could have written this post! I LOVE the $ Tree and like you, I never go to any other dollar store. I have bought almost every item you listed and I get all my aluminum pans there as well and some of my freezer containers too. I got at least every 2 weeks just to walk through and see if there's anything I can't live without. Thanks for your sweet words regarding my eye issues. I feel so encouraged by everyone's support and concern.

  54. I love the Dollar Tree! I wish we had one closer, but it might be a good thing we don't! ha ha I didn't know they had mailing supplies. I'll have to tell my mom about those cleaning sponges. I think she normally uses the brand name ones for her bathroom and I know she loves the Dollar Tree as much as I do. ;) Thanks for sharing on This is How We Roll link up.

  55. I love the Dollar Tree too! Little nugget's 2nd birthday is coming up and I plan on getting majority of my things from there. Pretty much all of my party bags are only from the Dollar Store. I can't see spending $3-$4 dollars somewhere else. Beautifully Candid

  56. I'm terrible and never think to go to dollar stores. But maybe I'll take a cue from you and go to Dollar Tree (since it's the best and I totally trust your judgement)!

  57. WOW! I love to get their serving spoons! That away if I leave them at a party I don't care.

    ReplyDelete
  58. That patriotic centerpiece is very pretty and festive. I love shopping at Dollar Tree for seasonal and party items. Like you said, there's no need to buy cards and bags at an extravagant price when you can get them for $1 or less.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I don't think we have a Dollar Tree in Canada, but wow I wish we did. Dollarama is my fave here but not everything is a dollar... Those are some great finds!

    ReplyDelete
  61. So many awesome finds! I honestly never even think to go to the dollar tree (or any of the discount stores), but I could save myself so much $$ if I did!

    ReplyDelete
  62. You're so right about all this stuff! I always get the most compliments on stuff I buy at the Dollar store, LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I love shopping at the Dollar Tree when I need some shopping therapy! It doesn't hurt the budget as much. I do buy cosmetics there, as long as they are a name brand.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Our Dollar Tree is my spot for crafting, etc. We don't have a craft store here in the mountains, so I'm glad that we at least have one of these! :)
