We are those people that rarely buy already done up greenhouse pots, we like to plant our own and watch them grow like crazy with tender loving care and miracle grow. I thought you guys might want to see a round up at some of my beautiful posies from last year.
I’m doing a little changeup in annuals this year but one thing that will remain the same is the Pink bubblegum petunias, I literally have 6 dozen of these babies to plant. For me and for my mom, they are the hardiest and most beautiful at the proven winners’ annual flowers and seem to do the best in our seasonal zone.
You can also that I’ll be having a couple elephant ear plants this year. Ours grew so tall last year and we’re such a conversation piece, so much fun and so tropical feeling close to the pool.
And the Hibiscus are always a hit!
A couple ferns always do so well on our front porch as well and I’m hoping I can find the coleus plants that grew so tall on the porch last year too.
I’ve got some new perennials to plant as well. We have a little area by our pool house that we’re dedicating to Mr. Nine’s mom. I got some Daisy May daisies to plant too in honor of our Daisy which mom said are a great proven winner perennial and some new pink and red tinted hydrangeas for the front. I’ll let you know how they do.
Do you plant annuals? Perennials? And do you have a garden? That’s one thing we have not done at the new house but I especially want some tomatoes, LOL!
And one more time...My Fav Flower pic from Last year.
OK, I’m signing off to get my hands diggin in the dirt!
One of my favorite things to do and I hope y’all have a great start to your week!

Soooooo pretty! It's about time to get in gear and ready for spring planting. The recent snow made it feel far off, but it's supposed to be down right hot today. I'm ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your planting my friend! I have to wait a little longer. You never know what's going to happen with the weather here. My hubby and I picked some perennials for our back yard and I'm excited to see them grow.

You have a green thumb that's for sure!! I hope to plant a ton of flowers around our house next month and watch everything grow! xo, Biana BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteWow! I've never seen such beautiful and lush annuals before, especially those coleus. You must use a lot of Miracle Gro and have no animal problems like deer or bunnies. Do you live in a warmer climate?
ReplyDeleteYou do have a green thumb Andrea. Your flowers grew so big and they all looked so beautiful last year. I'm waiting until May this year to do my flowers and veggies as there weather here has been still cold. Have a happy week planting!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy these posts... you may have the greenest thumb ever!! Your flowers are always incredible!
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous my friend! We always wait until mid-May to plant our urban garden. BUT, this year we bought the necessary items like soil, mushroom compost, and the coconut things for the flowers. They sell out fast so I am happy that we got ahead of that this year. Anyway! Can't wait to see what you do this year and have a glorious day planting! XO, Caroline
ReplyDeleteYou always have the prettiest flowers/landscaping! I am trying my hand at some potted flowers this year. Wish me luck!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely inherited a wonderful green thumb! I can't wait to see how it all looks this year.
ReplyDeleteI love hibiscus flowers so much. You definitely have a green thumb. Everything looks so good.
ReplyDeleteI always love seeing your flowers!! So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely have a green thumb! We live in Waco and plant hibiscus, perslayne, and sweet potato vine to make a colorful pot. Thanks to our new pool heat pump we’ve already been swimm8ng and the grandkids are thrilled we made that purchase. You and your mom are adorable!
ReplyDeleteYour house is better than the Barbie dream house!!!!
ReplyDeleteI need to know what type of coleus you had last year because I couldn't believe how big it got either! I always enjoy seeing your beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteDang!! You do have a green thumb. Did I ever tell you how bad we are?? We even killed the mint one year, haha!!

ReplyDeleteI always love seeing your beautiful flowers! My mom has a green thumb but I didn't get that gene. I plant a few pots for the porch but that's about it.

So what did you do with the snow that came in - did the cold hurt your beautiful flowers at all?
ReplyDeleteWOW WOW WOW Andrea!!!! You really are green fingered, aren't you?! Your garden and front porch look absolutely beautiful! I don't have green fingers I'm afraid. I'm pretty useless in the garden lol. Luckily Michael tends to the garden, although he has less time to do so these days. I wish I had the inclination (and the motivation) to do it myself!

Aw, you and Mom have the same smile!! How fun to shop and plant together! I love flowers, too, and we did half of our front yard in them a few years ago so it's always beautiful in the spring. I also have a raised bed garden in the back and have my tomatoes, blueberries, strawberries, peppers, etc. all planted. (It's the Michigan in me! Lol) I have perennials as here in SoCal you don't need to replant every year. We do fill in with new things, however!! Thanks for sharing your gorgeous photos! Happy planting!
