FRIDAY FAVORITES....WARM UP EDITION

We are getting a warm-up this weekend and I’m hoping that the sun will shine. It was chilly at the beginning of the week, so I had to find ways to warm up, LOL! Here are the warm favorites of the week:

1. Medicine Ball
When I was sick last week, I finally had a reason to get the coveted medicine ball tea from Starbucks. Oh, my word was it ever delicious! I knew this would be easy to replicate at home and here are a couple recipes for it that tastes exactly like it! If you’re sick or you have a sickie or you just want to yummy tea, give it a try!

The picture of my ingredients below was my favorite way. The graphic recipe made two servings. But mine, makes one serving..directions on the graphic below.

2. The Tipsy Biscuit
On Wednesday, I had to pick up my mom early from the airport after a two-week sunny trip to Florida! I had decided that we would do a yummy breakfast as I knew she would be hungry after an early flight. The night before on the news, a new breakfast joint in our area was highlighted called the Tipsy Biscuit. The mimosas alone told me I knew we had to go there. My poor mom was only going on three hours sleep so she didn’t want any pictures, but I could get a picture of the biscuits and mimosas, LOL! Our biscuit order was just a half, but it was humongous! Super yummy!

4.  YES WE VIBE Boots
and Chunky Sweater
I did a poll on Instagram a few weeks ago asking for outfit ideas with these  Yes We Vibe boho chunky boots. Y’all came through for me in a fabulous way and I went with the overriding consensus to do a chunky sweater, and skinny jeans. Since it was chilly and snowy, I added a beanie although the bottom picture will show what I truly feel like in a beanie. I did a poll on LoL. This sweater is from Amazon is absolutely fantastic, soft and the perfect weight. AND YES WE VIBE is offering a couple promo codes:

POST OF THE WEEK
I took Monday off from blogging and the only two reasons being I didn’t have anything good to share and it was Presidents’ Day, LOL! Made it a holiday even though I don’t work outside the home. But on Wednesday, I did share my fabulous fun dress in a Post called a Wee Bit Whimsy.

LEMONS FROM MOM
My sweet mom brought me home these adorable lemon measuring spoons. She knows I’m going to be doing a lemon themed tiered tray later this spring and these will be perfect! So cute!

OUR NIECE TURNS 21 TODAY
This sweet niece of ours turned 21 today! She is a junior at Xavier University has such a beautiful girl inside and out. She’s brilliant, has the voice of an angel and a heart of gold!

HAPPY MAIL
The friendship of my Style Six Blogger friends warms my heart. One of those sweethearts, precious Lisa from coast to Coast sent us the sweetest Galentine‘s! She had ornaments created of two of our favorite group shots from our trip to Austin this past November. The style matches the one Shelly got us from our Nashville trip the year before. I’m thinking the goal should be to get an ornament every year so we can have our own friendship tree with these precious memories!

I HOPE YOUR WEEKEND IS
WARM & SWEET!!

  22. The Tipsy Biscuit is just the cutest name for a breakfast diner. Looks delicious! The lemon spoons are so fun, and I'm glad your mom had a good sunny break. The ornament is really nice, and after I saw it last year, I ordered a family one for us. That's how I'll do it from now on, instead of the photo frame ornament. Have a good weekend.
