*Gasp...I have not watched ONE single Hallmark movie this season!
*Sooo many emails and it drives me nuts when you go to unsubscribe from an email, and they make you enter your email. LOL. If they sent you an email in the first place, then they should have that on file and kindly take you off ASAP.
*I do not like peppermint flavored drinks other than a minty tea. So, no white peppermint mocha for me.
*All the Santa’s I’ve seen so far this year look dirty and not fluffy and holly jolly, just pudgy and yucky.
*I made a bazillion different kinds of baked goods for treat giving, but I have to be honest, I did not make the candy popcorn. It was just a big bag I divided up for filler, LOL! #NotSorry
*I am crossing my fingers and toes that we get a white Christmas. It always wants to dump on us in January!
Just send down some big fluffy snowflakes now please! #dumbglobalwarming
*I am obsessed with Christmas Trees, I have 17 total and confession, I bought another flocked one, but I am saving it for our master bedroom next year. Mr. Nine says our house looks like a Gift Shop…I’ll take that as a compliment, LOL!
*I get extremely depressed the day after Christmas so I’m super happy we are going to be in a Gatlinburg cabin even if it is going to be 65 degrees.
*I didn't send a bundle of Christmas cards this year. Usually I send over 100. We didn't get a family photo this year for cards for the first time in years and kids, I had to cut out at least one thing, but do I feel a tad guilty? YES!!
Last year's glow will have to do, lol!

*I am not finished wrapping presents! For a girl who is on top of it, this year, the wrapping fell way behind me!
*This girl needs a break from the blog and social media. I may just do that. I work more hours at this bloggy gig than I did when I was in the professional world.
*BUT You are the reason I keep on blogging. When just one person says I’ve helped them, they’ve related, made a recipe of mine or just put a smile on their face, well, it’s all worth it.

Love this list and can relate to so many things- Merry Christmas Andrea!
ReplyDeleteI haven't wrapped or put together a single present yet. I probably wont sleep Christmas Eve night LOL. I didn't realize it was going to be 65 in Gatlinburg. NOOOOOO Normally we get cooler weather and at least a little snow when we are there. Boo!
ReplyDeleteI related to quite a few of these as well! 17 trees is amazing though! I am ready for a bit of a social/blogging break too. I think I am going to give myself a week off to reset. Enjoy your Christmas, Andrea... and I hope it snows for you but misses us!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this burst of humor!
ReplyDeleteI have never watched the Grinch all the way through. Not even the cartoon. Hows that for confession. Lol. Your right about the Santas. I guess he got a pay decrease since Amazon has stepped up.
ReplyDeleteYou ended your post with a bang in that red sweater and boots. LOVE IT!
Merry Christmas
Lisa
I'm with you on so many of these! While I'm loving our 50 degree weather, I really prefer a white Christmas! I'm due for a break too and looking forward to it! Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas!

So happy you are getting to head off on vacation! It's going to be just the break you need before heading into 2020! I think the nice thing about your family...y'all are in that spot where you could actually use the same picture becuase no one has changed too much hahaha. You know I'm feeling ya on the no Christmas card. Love you sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteTake some time off and enjoy this magical season!!! I agree about unsubscribing and having to give your email again! GRRR!! We were saying the same thing about the Santas we've seen. What is up with that?!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a busy time of year for everyone. I hope that you relax and have fun with your family when you are on vacation. Have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year Andrea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a post!!! My main goal at Thanksgiving when the kids were home was the picture for our card. Last year I just had to make do with what I had, so I totally get it and I cute waaay back on the number I send too. Usually around 100 and got it down to 75 this year. Take a break and enjoy!!! XOXO
ReplyDeleteI had to cut holiday cards off my list the last two years too. I feel guilty but oh well. There's always next year. Your confessions made me feel better. :) Definitely take a little holiday blog/social media break! I think it will help you feel refreshed and re-charged!
ReplyDeleteI can co-sign almost all of these! I haven't watched a single Hallmark Christmas movie, we didn't get professional pics done for our cards this year either, and I need a serious break from all things blog and social media at least through the holidays. Time to hit re-set <3

I am done wrapping, but that is because I have been doing it for weeks. So many gifts to wrap. You have 17 trees!? That is amazing. I am not a huge peppermint mocha fan either. I hope you get your white Christmas!!! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Merry Christmas! I'm sitting here looking at blogs when I should be baking and wrapping!

I was just commenting to my husband that we have had a mostly white December and today the temps are in the 50's and it is all but gone... the only time I truly love the snow is at Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched many movies either. Just a few classics with the boys. Ughh that annoys me so much with emails. It does feel great to unsubscribe though. I know I want to try and get a picture for our card earlier on. Things just creep up way too fast. I would definitely take the Christmas shop comment as a compliment! I think blogging breaks are so refreshing. I'll be back after the new year :) I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas together!
ReplyDeleteA gift shop? Really? Well, I for one would LOVE to see it!! You KNOW how our family "cards" turned out this year. As in Nada. Merry Christmas Eve Eve!!
ReplyDeleteWowza...17 Christmas trees. That's amazing Andrea. And I know what you mean about a lot of work for this fun hobby. I was out sick (didn't leave the bed) for 4 days and I feel like I missed so much.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't do the cards this year either....I think maybe Valentines day instead!

Blogging can be a lot of work....
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of peppermint drinks at all myself.
Its so easy to let wrapping fall behind. I've done some late night sessions with tape & paper before. Feel like I'm back in school days cramming for a test
I could relate to so many of these! I hope you have a wonderful getaway! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, funny! Take a break, load up the battery, we will be here when you come back! Enjoy! Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying your blog and I hope that you keep this up in 2020. You are such an inspiration to women. Reading your blog today made be realize that I was not alone that Christmas and after Christmas is very hard. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you and your family. P.S. Enjoy Gatlinburg, it is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThis is great. I hope you get the break you need.
ReplyDeleteI love your confessions. I am behind you on all the peppermint drinks, not for me, but I do like peppermint tea. 17 Christmas trees!!! Wow. I can barely get one up each season, hahahaha. Well if it makes you happy and gives you joy, that's all that truly matters. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.

I've enjoyed taking time off over the festive period! It's made me return to blogging with interest and vigour. Jacqui x
ReplyDeleteYes, and just like that, it's OVER! All the prep and work and seems it passes all so quickly. I'll be recapping our chaotic celebration tomorrow. Hubs and I are really quite glad to have our quiet house back. :o)) Blessings abundant for 2020!
ReplyDeleteLoving your Christmas sweater. Happy New Year dear!

Away From Blue
I have never watched Hallmark movies until 2019! I watched so many of them and loved them. They give me the warm and fuzzies! Girl, I’m telling you about those opt-out things. They drive me nuts, too! I get depressed the day after Christmas, too. Thankfully this year I had a trip to look forward to. Gatlinburg is one of my favorite towns. And a cabin there sounds heavenly! I love that last picture. You are the most adorable lady ever and I adore that outfit on you!
