WHAT I'D WEAR & WUW

I pondered and pondered this prompt which is something you’d never wear, but truth is, I’ll try about any clothing piece or trend at hand. About the only thing I won’t try anymore are body-con dresses and there isn’t anybody who wants to see this forty something lady in one of those, at least, not without a full body Spanx! Nope, just can’t pull off those figure-hugging skin-tight suckers anymore so there was no way I was even trying one for this post. So instead I’ll showcase a fun new outfit that anyone could wear and dress it up or down.

So what I’m going to say “Never, will I ever” is.....stop wearing hot pink, lol. Yep, Never will I ever stop wearing Hot Pink.
I guess you could call this Hot Pink Post 2 because Last Week I brought you my favorite hot pink sweater.

Now, I do want to make note of the weather for a minute. Yes, I am in short sleeves and will occasionally wear them in the Winter and maybe a little mental Spring channeling but this photo was taken a few weeks ago on an unseasonably 50-degree day! TODAY, the air feel is a full 100 degrees difference! Yes, I said it! Kids, it is -50 wind chill with an actual temp high of minus -11! In our neck of the woods, things are shut down! People are warned not to go outside.

Yes, I’m focusing on this Cute Bow Top and What’s up Wednesday but the only freezing thing on our brains is the record cold so I will be under extra blankets and probably very unmotivated the next couple days. But hey, I can still blog. So, let’s think warm and toasty thoughts and get to the rest of this post of goodness. And how about this Cute top as possible Valentine's idea! I mean it's under $14!! Lots of cute colors AND I LOVE IT!!

  1. I love that blouse...thinking about getting it in royal blue. What size did you get because it looks like it runs small. Thinking about a medium? Congrats on that great honor for your son.

    Stay warm girlie!

  2. I thought about y'all yesterday when Dylan Dreyer was talking about what that weather and wind chill can do to a person outside! Stay inside haha!! We had a "snow day" yesterday for snow that never showed up but it was still cold so I stayed inside and relaxed--it was wonderful! Enjoy your day!

  11. I had lunch with one of my die-hard Saints fans yesterday and they are boycotting the Super Bowl this weekend. I saw on social media that most of the bars in NOLA are re-playing the SB game of when the Saints won it a few years ago instead of the live game. People in this part of the country are TICKED (to put it ever so slightly!). I saw the play and I agree with them, but we're not NFL fans so much, so I know you understand. Stay WARM today, Friend! I'm thinking about you!

  12. I love your top! I was going to say that pink is my favorite on you. Yikes with those temperatures! Stay warm my friend. Flannels are a favorite of mine too. And happy birthday to Miss Daisy!

  13. Whoa, that forecast is legit freezing. But I wouldn't mind an excuse to stay bundled up and cozy reading in your house by that fireplace! Eating the bean and bacon soup while I'm at it! LOL! You look fab in your hot pink and you should definitely NOT stop wearing it!

  21. Kent's been watching the weather as if it's his job. LOL Where we lived in MN the actual temp is -26 this morning. BRRRRR. You had so much goodness to share this fine Wednesday. I love making all the hearty, Valentine's foods for my family too and miss that. One day, I'll be doing it for my grands❤️. Enjoy being forced to stay in. It's kinda fun and on some level I miss it a little. Happy Hump Day!!! XOXO

  22. Hope you are staying warm! We are below 0 here, too, but not quite as bad! That chicken chili looks delicious. Love how you mash one can of the beans - sounds like it would make it so thick and yummy!

  23. Love you in hot pink! The bow everything is so sweet with this look on you. I have been making soups too, warm and yummy butternut squash is my specialty :-) No Superbowl for the Steelers either! .. I am the same, I have just been hating Ray Donovan too.. his character grumbles few words lately and he just uses his fists if he doesnt like someone. He was more likeable in earlier seasons!
    Have a great day!

  25. BRRRR it's cold there!! I love your fireplace and cozy flannels. You've got the right idea. Happy Birthday to sweet Daisy and Congrats to your son! Wow!!!! Never should you ever stop wearing hot pink, did I say that right? It's a GREAT color on you! The bow details are so cute. How are you liking Ray D, the show?? You've gotten pretty far through it. I agree, it's a love/hate thing with his character but those are the kind of characters I usually like to watch! Ohhh I just finished YOU and Dirty John! YOU is so creepy but addictive. DJ was good but I had already listened to the podcast, I think Bravo did a good job with it. Have a great day and stay warm!

  38. Congratulations to your son! I love hot pink too - it's a great color on you, and the bow is such a pretty touch. There's no way I could wear short sleeves in winter, even in the house. I'm always freezing!

  40. Stay safe and warm Andrea, that weather sounds horrendous! I though -14 in the Alpes last week was cold. Brrrr. Jacqui Mummabstylish

  41. I will never give up a certain color either! Hot pink is just too cute of a color on you! I don't typically go for those body con dresses either, and the same with crop tops! That area is just better under a layer of looser fabric! Haha! But I will take my 2 kids over a flat belly any day! Hope you are staying warm!!

  42. I am cracking up after popping back and reading about your purse! I may have read it before but I was laughing all over again. Your handsome boy!! Congrats momma that is so exciting.
