January is swinging right along and we finally got a little bit of snow this week! That weatherman was so so off as he was predicting a much harsher winter and so far, I consider most of it being more like late Fall! I know I’m crazy but I love a harsh snowy winter! I want to wear the Teddy Coat I showed you on Wednesday more too. Hope you have had a great week. I am kind of finding it hard to come up with Friday Favorites now that the holidays are done, the holidays always bring a bevy a favorite ideas. I’ve been decluttering and purging most of the week and working out a lot. Tomorrow we’re buzzing down for a day trip to Purdue to have lunch with our next birthday boy! I hope this January weekend is as sweet as can be for you!
1. Family Dinner
I know I shared some of these pictures on Instagram but I just had to share our last little family dinner before the two oldest headed back to college last weekend. Missing our youngest here but Ruth Chris never disappoints and it’s the only time a year I ever eat a steak and that filet was so worth it!
We get lots of sides but the shoestring fries are always a must and the Pomegranate Martinis were sensational!

2. Daisy
I’ve neglected to share much lately about our other family member, our precious Daisy Mae. She turns 14 years old this month. Boy was this girl happy we got some snow this week. I took this picture on yesterday after she came in. She literally has snow all over her. She just loves rolling around in it. When the boys were little I would make them hot chocolate after they came in but Daisy just got a special treat instead.

4. Black Swiss Dot Dress
Nothing like a sweet little black DRESS and boy did I get a deal on this one at the Loft when they have their 50% off! It was only $35. I love Swiss dots and you may not be able to tell in this picture but matte dots are so stinking cute as are the little flutter ruffle sleeves. As you can see, I wore it for last Friday's dinner.

Anthropologie Candle
While I love B&B candles, Anthropologie ones are some of my favorites. My sweet sister-in-law, Beth got me one of my favorites for Christmas which is the Whipped Cream & Pear!. It smells so good when you walk in that store or our house, lol! The Jars are so pretty too. Did you know these are named after French Desserts?

Mini Tobacco Basket
Just love this little tobacco basket ornament that my sweet friend LISA got me. I transitioned it from a Christmas basket as seen in the bottom picture to an everyday sweet little tobacco basket that I made a homemade spring wreath for and it is setting on my tiered tray. I’ll show you more in an upcoming post on how I decorated the tray for every day. I thought I may only use it at the holidays but it’s so much fun that I’m going to have to keep it out all year long.
My ornament originally says Noel but I failed to take a picture of it before I transitioned it. All I did was placed a piece of white card stock on top of it and added the wreath and ribbon.

ReplyDeleteOh how I love Ruth Chris! Pomegranate martinis sound amazing! I love your sweet black dress and how cute is precious Daisy Mae in that snow! Bless her little heart. You are so clever with that mini tobacco basket, I think mine is packed away with our Christmas decor but it would have been perfect to keep out all year - genius!

Happy Friday Andrea and wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead!

Loved reading your post this evening, Andrea. So much love and happiness here today and I especially love that cute pic of Daisy with snow all over her! I'm jumping on the tabacco basket bandwagon. Before Christmas I saw these gorgeous large ones that had "Gather" in the middle of them, but I think our Hobby Lobby sold out of them because I can no longer find them. They were so, so pretty! Happy Weekend, Love!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it so cute how an older dog will get a burst of energy with something like the snow or a special walk? Love the family dinner pictures!
ReplyDeleteI just started that book on Shelly's recommendation! and what a fab idea for that mini tobacco basket! I may have to go dig mine out and do something similar! Have a wonderful weekend and happy birthday to your son!
ReplyDeleteOh Daisy Mae is to cute in the snow! Have great weekend!

ReplyDeleteLook at cute Daisy frolicking in the snow! Love all your warm winter outfits as usual and cute family pics. You are ageless! It's incredible how you look the same in your before and after photos! Can I have your genes please?
ReplyDeleteI don't recall ever meeting Daisy, what a cutie! And, we rarely ever get to go to Ruth Chris but, when we travel we try to hit one. So, so good! Looks like snow may well keep me from going to Des Moines and Chicago later this week. Not looking favorable at all. Boo! Hoo! Happy new week!
ReplyDeleteDaisy Mae is the cutest dog and the snow pictures of Daisy playing in the snow are adorable. Fabulous wardrobe and style!
ReplyDeleteYour family and puppy pics are so cute!
ReplyDeleteMy dogs love the snow, but they don't get to play in it very often! Hope you had a great visit with your birthday son!
ReplyDeleteYour Gemma is the spitting image of our Gemma. We have her younger twin sister! She loves the snow too....a little bit...then back inside to a cozy blanket or a sitting persons lap.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute post dear! Daisy is sooo adorable!
