I was a freshman in high
school and she was a senior. Angie Hooley, my fashion idol! She was way too
cool for school, at lunch she’d sit on the edge of the gym stage with her Legs
crossed, guys fawning over her, Capri tights, cute skirts, anklets, heels and
some sort of Madonna-ish lace, Always a cute hair accessory. I wanted to be
her! I don’t think she even knew a little freshman pion such as me even existed
but I admired her every move. This outfit is homage to a high school fashion
idol. Angie would’ve worn something like this embroidered studded jacket and
lace anklets. She'd have a bow in her hair, big hair, of the 80's. There
was usually dark nail polish involved.
She had the same last name as my BFF but they were not related.
She had a mysterious aura about her and at times I wondered if she was even
real.
Isn't the embroidered floral back so
cool and retro!
Funny thing
is after she graduated, I never saw her again, never heard what
happened to her nor is she on social media that I know of. Wherever
she is, I hope is just as fashionable and I was honored to be awarded
Best Dressed my senior year just like she was. This BLANK NYC studded floral embroidered denim Moto Jacket would have most definitely been in Angie's closet.
What about you, did you have someone who’s fashion style you admired, someone not famous, just an everyday person whom you idolized?

OMG Andrea, I LOVE this post! And you look absolutely amazing – clearly that girl at school must have idolised Madonna, right? I don't think I had anyone like that to be honest. I just loved anything goth as well as Madonna lol. I did have a pair of fingerless lace gloves ;)

You look amazing! This Blank NYC denim jacket is too gorgeous for words! I am totally swooning over it.

Oh my goodness...you look adorable from head to toe. There is so much fun detail involved with this outfit. I must ask. Did you have to switch things out a time or two or did it all just flow together. I experience both of these type of personal styling sessions..so you never know. I had a few fashionistas I'd watch daily...they seem to have it all together from top to bottom. And I was frumpa-lumpa - gawking. Ah well, I made it through somehow. lol. I'm not at all surprised you won best dressed in the least! Beautiful lady - inside and out!!
ReplyDeleteI love how fun and retro the jacket is, the embroidered detail and the pearls are fun details!
