You've heard me talk about my dear friend Tami before,
who I referred to as "T" and she is who inspired this post.
I was so excited to have the peep toe booties to go with, and I love the jean jacket with it and will probably wear an olive color cardigan over it to work.
She got this adorable ensemble at Sears. I always forget to go in Sears and remember years ago getting very cute clothes there. You'd be surprised at what fun things you can find there besides tools and appliances.
I have oodles of acquaintances but not many close friends so in addition to the closeness I share with my mom, husband, sons and blogger pals, Tami has been my tried-and-true for the past 15 years! I swear, we could have our own talk show, and we, along with people who know us, compare us to Hoda and Kathie Lee. If we set up the camera during our workdays and conversations, we'd have you rolling in laughter like we do! We call ourselves "T and A" and OK, while it references something else, get your mind out of the gutter. It stands for Tami and Andrea, LOL!
Our Birthday Day party 2007...T said "Wow, we've aged well!" We have!

We try our best to spread happiness and support each other in every aspect of life! My favorite quality about Tami, although she has so many wonderful ones, it's her ability to listen! She is the best listener I know and I don't think I could do this life without her! As you get older, you realize it's not about the number of friends you have but the quality. What I try to be the most in a friend is true, giving and loyal; if those aspects are not there then why be friends with that person? Life is too short for drama, pettiness and backstabbing. I'm lucky that I am a strong enough person now to choose who I want to spend my time with, and I'm lucky to call Tami my partner in crime.
Cheers to your week ahead sweet friends!!

What a sweet friendship! Yes, we have gotten to an age where we have hopefully learned quality over quantity is what matters most. My circle has gotten so much smaller over the years but in a good way. T and A has me chuckling, fabulous name for a talk show!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd your bestie knows just what to get you - you are cute as a button in the dress and I'll bet you'd get carded if you went out in it! Hello teenager!
Happy Monday beautiful friend!
xo,
Kellyann

This look is SO cute and one that I would totally love to try and replicate. It's like the perfect date night outfit. She did a great job!
ReplyDeleteGreat to have such a close friend. One who buys you clothes is a sort of sister friend really. Lucky you, and she chose well. Perfect dress. Styling it with denim is how I'd do it for casual and yes a cardigan too.
ReplyDeleteLOVE how you styled this dress! Lace and denim is such a cute combo and those booties are so fabulous!

ReplyDeleteAww what a lovely dress - the necklace is perfect with it, as is the denim jacket. Your friend knows you well as she picked a really nice outfit for you. It's great you have that closeness too! True friends can be hard to find, makes them more treasured when you do find them :)
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely weekend :)

What a wonderful friendship! That's so, so true about the quality not quantity of friends being what's important. It took me awhile to figure that one out! You both certainly look even better with age! :)
ReplyDeleteAwww T sounds like an awesome friend!!!! I always tell my bestie that we could have our own podcast or something, we think we are hilarious. That outfit is super cute, love the jean jacket! That is my staple piece for just about all my dresses. I haven't been to Sears in a really long time, there aren't any at the malls I frequent here. I have found a few cute things in the past for sure.
ReplyDeleteCheers to friendships and awesome outfits and holy cow, you are looking sunshiney and fabulous.
ReplyDeleteYou two are the cutest!!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit and I like you, often forget about Sears too.

ReplyDeleteI love this entire look! I can't wait until it gets chilly enough here so I can wear my denim jacket. Happy eclipse day!
ReplyDeleteFriends that you've had a relationship with for that long are hard to come by, so that's awesome that you and Tami have been friends for so long! I also love that dress and totally agree that it'd look adorable with an olive green cardigan!

ReplyDeleteSweetie, as soon as I saw you, I said to myself, "That's the dress that Andrea's friend got her for her birthday!" I remember if, of course, because I loved it! And I love how you styled it here, Beautiful, with the denim jacket and booties! And yes! Growing up, LOTS of my clothes came from Sears and JC Pennys. The two stores were right beside each other in our town (not anymore, of course), and we could walk between the two. Thanks for the memories this Monday evening! I hope you had a great one!

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute look! And yes, I often forget about Sears for fashion, though some long-ago favorites were from there.
