Noooo, while I am happy the weekend is here, I do not like Spring Forward, it screws up my silly internal clock big time!! Not to mention, I'm a worry wart this weekend with one college boy traveling to Georgia and another in the Dominican for Spring Break. The extra hour of daylight is the only plus of the Spring Forward but when it's freezing out, it really doesn't matter. We really shouldn't mess with mother nature, lol.
Let's make it the BEST weekend we can friends!!
Let's make it the BEST weekend we can friends!!
1. Son's Fun
Pretty proud of our boys always and this was a particularly good few days for two of them. The baby of the fam and stud athlete squared his personal record of 400lbs and he's only a sophomore.
Then, one of the college studs got a job at his favorite store: Vineyard Vines. Now lets just hope he doesn't spend all his earnings on clothes. I worked retail in college and barely had anything left after buying up the new arrivals. Shhh, don't tell him that, lol
Look how gorgeous his store front is, there's even the back of a yacht inside.

4. Embroidery Dress Love
Wore this Old Navy shift dress for the first time in Florida,
so comfy and the embroidery is so pretty!
This is the beautiful lady I first saw this ON dress on...KellyAnn from This Blonde's Shopping Bag. How cute is this Florida doll! She's a school counselor by day and a Fashionista all the time who I am sure is admired by all who see her cute style. I know I love her to pieces. Make sure you check out her blog, she finds the best deals.
Her espadrilles sandals are from the Gap and half the price of the ones at Nordi's

We are getting snow this weekend and probably next week. You know how this effects me - not well, not well at all. I want to throw a two year old temper tantrum! Look at that gorgeous embroidery! I had a dress similar to that last year! However, I ruined it because it was white (dumb me!) YAY to the boys way to go on the lifting! I started back last night! And yay for employment. Whew he better get a good discount that stuff is expensive! You looked gorge per the usual this week and the luggage? YES! Stay warm sweet friend, our summer sun is coming....eventually! XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, Andrea!! Congrats to your boys on those exciting achievements! I'll be praying for their safe travel! That embroidery dress is too cute!! Much love to ya! xo - Brenda // ChattingOverChocolate.com
ReplyDeleteOmg I really hate Spring Forward too but I do appreciate that it stays lighter longer! Yay for both of your sons! I would be so tempted to blow all my money at Vineyard Vines--it's just such an adorable store!! Happy Friday!!

I love vineyard vines!!! One of my favorite shops... That store is gorgeous! We never had snow this year so I was kind of disappointed but I am ready for spring! And I will totally be a zombie on Monday! Have a great weekend!

Exciting times for your boys! My husband loves Vineyard Vines and I'm sure if he worked there in college, he would have spent his entire paycheck! Wishing both sons safe travels, too. And oh my gosh, that luggage set! I'm obsessed! Have a great weekend, Andrea!

A Blonde's Moment
I absolutely love shift dresses, and this embroidery one from ON is gorgeous. I was shocked when I scrolled down and saw the white embroidered dress (your FAV). I own that one and bought it years ago. It's still one of my favorite dresses.
ReplyDeleteWow for your son 400 pounds is amazing :) I love love Good Thins ! My favorite snack to have a work to grab when I've got hunger pains !! Happy Friday Andrea !
ReplyDeleteIm with you, i Hate the time changes lol. Kudos to your sons, they have great parents guiding them! I hope you have an amazing weekend sweet lady! Xo - Kim
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the accomplishments of the boys! Winning for sure! :) Love all of the week's outfits! Especially that blue dress with the reddish embroidery!
ReplyDeleteI love your Ross & Nordstrom dresses! They are so cute. Congrats to your boys! I'll have to try those Good Thins. I have some chickepea ones at home that I really love.
ReplyDeleteI had completely forgot about Spring Forward! Ugh, I hate losing an hour but yay for extra sunshine! Congrats to your son on his new job! Working in retail is so tough and by tough I mean not spending your whole paycheck (and then some) at the store. So much temptation! haha. One of the reasons I still work part time in retail is because I would miss my discount too much. ahha Hope you have a wonderful weekend pretty lady!
ReplyDeleteOMG THAT MARBLE LUGGAGE!! NEED.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Maxine - she cracks me up. Although, I look forward to longer days (and warmer ones - where did our warm weather go???). Can't wait to meet you in person - and see that beautiful luggage.

Looks like you have passed on your style to your boy! Loving his colored pants. I did a photo session with a guy that wore the prettiest green pants & I told him that I love seeing guys wear these bright colors... he said, "Thank my wife" ;) haha
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend lady!
That luggage, plus it can double as a good background for blog photos! Winning right there! That purple flower dress is so pretty! I love it. Happy weekend friend!

Girl, I always hate spring forward, too! It always takes my body like 6 months to adjust and by then it's time to change back. Haha. And I LOVE that ON embroidered dress! I got the one in yellow! I haven't worn it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I need to get some color on these legs first! Have a great weekend, beauty!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could work at Vineyard Vines and still have any money left by paycheck time. That store is amazing, and always one of my favorites. All of your looks from this week are fabulous girl as always. Have a great weekend.

Peaches In A Pod
Happy Friday! I am loving the embroidered dress trend. Yay for both of your boys accomplishments! I work at corporate for a retailer and those discounts, especially when they're double, make it hard to pass up ;) I always get a little thrown off with day light savings time but I am really looking forward to some longer days. Have a great weekend!! Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I haven't seen that ON dress! Perfect for vacation. Vineyard Vines is like all the rage and I was evidently out of the loop..my 15 year old has been asking for it. I actually love springing forward...I love the extra day light and it means my hubby always seems so much happier. Since he has such a long commute it will at least still be daylight when he gets home and you wouldn't believe what a difference it makes for him.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to both your boys, how awesome!!! We have one of those stores here and I always talk about how pretty it is from the outside, I dont think I have ever been in. I haven't tried the White Cheddar Good Thins yet, just the sweet potato and salt and vinegar beet ones. Both are so good! Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat spring forward meme nearly made me snort my wine through my nose right this minute. Yes, it's after 8pm on a Friday night and I'm trying to catch up on all my blogs! I saw that embroidered dress last night at ON and debated on trying it on. Although I LOVE embroidered dresses, I passed. I must have been out of my mind, but I bought another dress. I posted my ON favs just a while ago. Late Friday post for me, but whatever! I am so happy your handsome boy got a JOB and of all places! Tell him to talk to Steph! She needs a JOB in a BAD way! Ugh! Especially now that BB season is over. She's with her friends at this very minute eating Olive Garden and I'm sitting at home eating Domino's. What's wrong with this picture? Enjoy your weekend, Girlie!
ReplyDeleteAwe, your son looks so preppy and cute! Embroidered dresses seem so popular but I just do not care for them. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love those nails! and woo-hoo with all the good news for the boys. You wouldn't think a one hour time change would be that big of deal, but it messes with me for a solid week... not to mention the little guy. Now that is something to look forward to ;)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to him on the new job. Is it his first retail job ever?
ReplyDeleteThe cardinal is too adorable! Hope the weather warms up for you! I think your cold weather is heading down our way next week. Love those sparkly nails for St Patty's. Happy weekend! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWay to go boys!!
ReplyDeleteI hate the time change! I know it is just an hour but it messes with my internal clock!
Hope you have a great weekend!!
Your outfits are just adorable like always!
You always have the cutest outfits; I love that blue smocked dress.
ReplyDeleteI am so very grateful that we don't move forward or backwards ever...I wouldn't be able to deal. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your boys (young men) on their achievements. I'm doing good to carry groceries, let along press anything...ha! The clothing shop looks so cute. I love to see fellas dress decently...no pants hanging below their underwear...ugh... You always have such good stuff on your Friday post. Cute outfits, cute manicure on your friend's nails, cute cartoons... xoxo P.S. Wish "they" would leave the time alone...
ReplyDeleteHi Girlfirend! Boy its nice to finally have time to stop by! wow, congrats to both of your sons.. 400 lbs woah and vineyard vines .. i thought he was working at a wine shop! Yeah -- I don't know what it was about springing forward this year but it did me in. I took a nap shortly after "waking up" and another at something like 2:00. I feel like the whole day was napping interspersed with life (at least I got a workout wedged in there!). Love the embroidery dresses.
ReplyDeleteYour burgundy floral dress is so pretty, Andrea.
