SHAMMY OWL COOKIES

Well, here is my other St. Patty's Day creation. If you know me pretty well, you know that I love sweet Owls! And if you know my husband, you know that he loves Nutter Butters! Combine the two and Bam you've got a cute and sweet little treat. I'm not gonna lie, these babies take some time to decorate but your family will love you for it! Because with all the coating, these Nutter butters are extra delicious. I felt bad biting the head off the cute owl, lol.
Yum

What You'll Need

SHAMMY OWL COOKIES
Ingredients
Nutter butter cookies
1 bag White candy melts
Green food coloring
White & pink heart sprinkles
Shamrock sprinkles
1/4 cup Mini chocolate chips
Pretzel rods
Green sugar
Canned white frosting or a homemade butter frosting with butter, powdered sugar and a little milk.

Directions
I do the pretzel logs first. Take out a few of the chocolate mini chips for the eyes and melt the rest of chocolate chips in the microwave. Should only take 30 to 60 seconds spread a layer on however many pretzel rods you desire for the logs and sprinkle on green sugar, set aside on waxed paper. Lay down another sheet of waxed paper. Melt the white candy melts in the microwave and add the desired amount of green food coloring. Working quickly, dip your Nutter Butters til covered and place on wax paper. Decorate to resemble owls. Use the frosting in a plastic bag with the tip cut off or .    and place to dollops for eyes and some on the sides to resemble wings. Using your fingers or I used tweezers, take a pink heart for the nose and decorate the ears and bodies as desired with the rest of the embellishments. Store in airtight container for up to a week.

HAPPY TASTY TUESDAY!!!

Now head on over to The Blended Blog to link up your yumminess.
