I have a love hate relationship with beanie hats. Still not sure if I like that flatness to my head. When I wear them for outdoor winter activities, I wear then straight down close to my eyes for warmth with that cute Pom sticking straight up. However, when it's more for fashion, like today's post, I like to wear it a little more slouchy. Funny thing is, I didn't start wearing beanies in the Winter until a few years ago and only do when it's super cold out.
This is a favorite cardigan of mine from Forever 21, I usually always pair it with leggings and a tee or as here, a long chambray tunic and I'd pair it with tan high boots or my Hunters. Last year, I feel in love with the fingerless mittens and love that my fingers are free. I only own a grey pair so they work well with this cardigan. The fringe grey tote is from Nordstrom.
This particular beanie is good ole Target on clearance. The cream one I loved at Nordstrom was all sold out so tickled I got a better deal at Target anyway.

You rock the beanie so well! I love them because you can still wear your hair down but hide a bad hair day (or a lazy hair day) at the same time. Stay warm with that snow in the background!
ReplyDeleteChristina :: Simple and Delish
I'm the same way when it comes to beanies...which honestly the only way I wear it is for warmth so it almost covers my eyes LOL! I love the slouchy look here - such a cute outfit you put together! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteI love the way beanies look on other people but never feel like I can pull them off. When I was in NYC two years ago I wore one every day and I thought I looked ridiculous in pictures. Maybe I just haven't found the right one!
ReplyDeleteYou are looking super cute in this beanie & loving your F21 cardi!! Have a great day Andrea:)

Thank you for the Birthday Shout Out, Andrea! I noticed that red cup before you mentioned it and I thought the same thing: a cup of LOVE! I personally can't wear a beanie, but I wish I could. I think it's my hair being too short. I think they look much better when you can still see a person's hair and of course you look awesome in it! Such a warm and cozy outfit! I wish you would share some of your snow with us here in Louisiana! Also, I'm so glad that we like to shop at the same stores: Target, Nordstrom, Forever21. Did I tell you that I went to my TJ Maxx last week and actually bought something?!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the love-hate relationship with beanies! You look so cute in yours! I think I will be having a love relationship with my beanie this weekend because we are suppose to get a ton of snow!! The beanie will be a necessity!! Love the red Hunters too!!

You rock the beanie love! This outfit is so cute and cozy! That cardigan is gorgeous and all the pops of red are just fab! Happy Wednesday!

I love how you accessorized with Starbucks- it went beautifully with that cozy outfit!
ReplyDeleteI love this whole look! I also have a love-hate with beanies but this looks adorable on you!
ReplyDeleteLoving this whole outfit, and the pop of red from those fabulous boots! You are totally rocking that beanie, I've tried and it just doesn't look right on me :-P
ReplyDeleteGreen Fashionista
I love the hat and the boots! I can't pull off hats, so I don't even really try.
ReplyDeleteYou should have a love relationship with beanies, because you look beautiful!! Great look!

I really like the beanie on you... though there's not really anything I can think of that hasn't looked good on you. Unfair!!!
ReplyDeleteStill loving those boots!! I may need a red pair :)
Confessions of a Frumpy Mommy
So cute!!! I love that sweater!! I wish that Starbucks would keep those red cups throughout the winter, makes things a little brighter!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI say you should love the beanie! It looks great on you!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love beanie hats and it's a plus that they keep you warmer on a cold day. Looking gorgeous as usual! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a hat person, too, so I don't really like to wear a beanie. Thankfully, I don't live somewhere that is super cold like yours!

I am a big fan of the beanie, especially styled the way that you have here! Love it!

Peaches In A Pod
I love beanies on everyone but me! I bought one beanie last year, but haven't worn it yet. It doesn't seem to want to stay on my head right and keeps slipping up. I think I have a big head.
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute in that beanie!! I picked up one in the dollar section at Target for $3.00, I was excited!

Pumps and Push-Ups
I haven't worn hats since I was a kid, but there are some days I really should. Love your outfit. Especially the pop of red with your boots.
ReplyDeleteI never was a hat person until I went to college now I pretty much live in a beanie! They are essentials to me! Love those hunters! You look so fabulous!

Doused in Pink
I think beanies can look so cute, but if I put one on I have to totally commit--my hair looks insane after wearing one and taking it off!
ReplyDeleteI don't wear beanies for that same reason and it's not ever really cold enough but I think it looks really cute on you the way you styled it.
ReplyDeleteWell I love beanie hats and I am wearing one in my post today too. Target - check, Beanie - check, Boots - check, Scarf - check, Layers - check, Snow - check, Starbucks Cup - check. We got so many things in common with our outfits today LOL. You should check mine out. =D
ReplyDeleteHave a Fab Wednesday, Love!
I have such a love/hate relationship with beanies as well! I always try to do the cool slouchy thing but my head is way too big for that and the beanie always ends up sliding off my head, pins or no pins! You look absolutely adorable in a beany and when it's actually practical that's even better! Love this whole look! Hope you are having a glorious week my beautiful friend! XO -Kim
ReplyDeleteLove this look! The beanie looks great on you. I always feel ridiculous wearing. Love, love, love the red Hunters!
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute in that hat!!! I cant wear hats. I feel like I look absolutely ridiculous in them. I dont even have a winter hat for that very reason. It doesn't get that cold down here for long periods to justify it I guess.
ReplyDeleteTOTALLLLLLY with you!! I love hats and I love the way they look on so many people but I feel like I can never make them work - beanie hats included!! You look fabulous in that outfit, I just love those boots!
ReplyDeleteHonestly I also have a love hate relationship with beanies. I have a few, but I'm extremely picky and also extremely careful with what I wear it with. I feel like some girls can pull them off like crazy, then there's me haha. Thanks for linking up with me today and I'll be pinning this to the link up board. Hope to see you back next week!

You are just a cutie pie in that beanie!
ReplyDeleteI think you look adorable! It never gets cold enough here to wear them....I'm a little bit glad about that. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a love/hate relationship with hats in general! I think this outfit looks great on you! From the sweater to the red boots, this is such a cozy chic ensemble!
ReplyDeleteahhhhh you look amazing! I have always been on the fence where beanie hats are concerned but i must say,it looks fab on you!Your whole outfit is really gorgeous! I so look forward to any new posts that you publish and this is yet another great post, you are truly awesome xx
ReplyDeleteI like the beanie, I don't like the beanie hair when the beanie comes off. I've noticed recently a lot of women wearing beanies with CC label on them. I don't really care about fashion, but I'm curious what brand this is? The rain boots are super cute!
ReplyDeleteyou look adorable. i have the same love-hate with them too!
ReplyDeleteI really like beanies but only wear them when it gets super cold out!!
ReplyDeletewww.amemoryofus.com
I think you look cute in a beanie! I know what you mean though. I always feel like they mess up my hair. LOL! I love your outfit.

Ahhh....I'm SO jealous of your Hunters! I've wanted them forever, but just can't justify getting them for our weather here in CA (which is funny, because I'll buy a million fur coats, right?!). Love this laid back look on you! Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead, friend! XO
ReplyDeleteI don't wear beanies, but it sure looks good on you! What a cute outfit and I think your outfit with those gorgeous red Hunter boots just pops!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the look of the beanie on you. For some reason beanies look 'not so good' on my head. Great use of the color gray you have going on. xo
ReplyDeleteYou look cute in a beanie! I only wear mine when I'm using the snowblower...ha!
ReplyDeleteI love my beanie hat - but once I wear it I can't take it off because my hair is a little messy. But, they do keep me warm in the cold temps. I think you look very fashionable in your hat and cute cardigan. Thanks for joining my LINK UP.

Your beanie looks great! Nice and cosy, especially with your layered outfit :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not much of a hat person although I won a beanie last year and I wore it a few times in winter on our really cold days, it was handy to have!
